Our weaknesses should lead us to faith in God's grace because our weaknesses makes it easier for us to depend on God than on ourselves. When we depend on ourselves we draw limited power(Isa 40:30) but when we depend on God we draw unlimited power to achieve anything. Our weaknesses therefore affords us the opportunity of accessing unlimited power for success through God's grace
Ecclesiastes 9:11 "I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favor to men of skill; but time and chance happens to them all."
It is not about starting strongly but about taking the opportunities God presents to us
"I did not start well, I should as well forget about putting so much into it"

Success is not rooted in starting well but in our faith in the mercies of God. The mercies of God should be our motivation to work towards success.
